Main Prang at Wat Som In Ayutthaya

 

Wat Som's prang likely dates back to the early Ayutthaya period. Interestingly, this prang still has some better preserved stucco ornaments than most other prangs we visited in Ayutthaya.
They feature mythological figures (like Rahu swallowing the moon during an eclipse) and geometrical patterns. Also some old lintels are still visible.
